Background: Rainer studied Digital Media at the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserlautern. The main focus of his studies was HCI, usability, user experience, web technologies and web design. As an internship he was working on the topic of process modelling in the field of software development. His Diploma thesis was about the design and implementation of a web application for a telemedicine centre.

At CURE, Rainer's focus is on testing and developing tools for usability engineering and to support various ongoing research projects.
